Morocco’s Imperial cities, the
glorious Atlantic coastline,
relaxing Essaouira and Volubulis
Morocco is incredibly rich in
history, culture and atmosphere. Fez
has its huge, by UNESCO recognised,
medina of winding alleyways, with
countless craftsman using centuries
old techniques. The Roman site of
Volubulis, another UNESCO World
Heritage site and Rabat has the
coastal Kasbah des Oudaias.
In Casablanca the Hassan II Mosque is
widely acclaimed to be one of the
most beautiful in the world. Further
south is the peaceful seaside town
of Essaouira, with its great seafood.
Finally Marrakech, with its tranquil
gardens and bustling square - Djemaa
el Fna - the perfect end to a varied
and exotic tour.
Day 1: Arrival in Fez,
transfer to the hotel.
Day 2: Guided tour of Fez,
one of the world's finest Islamic
cities.
Day 3: On this day we visit
the well-preserved Roman site of
Volubulis (World Heritage Site
UNESCO) and Meknes. Later in the day
we travel on to Rabat.
Day 4: Early start with a
drive from Rabat to Casablanca. We
visit the Hassan II Mosque, which
has the tallest minaret in the
world. Later in the day we travel to
Essaouira via a stunning
coastal route.
Day 5: Today we have a free
day to explore Essaouira's winding
back streets, boulevard and long
beautiful beaches.
Day 6: To Marrakech; guided
tour of the souk and medina within
the ancient city walls.
Day 7: Free day to enjoy
Marrakech.
Day 8: End Marrakech. |
