Casablanca Airport to the City (and Beyond)

Mohammed V airport (CMN) is Morocco's main gateway, about 30 km southeast of Casablanca. The good news: it has a direct train station under the terminal, which makes onward travel remarkably easy.

The Train (Best Option)

  • To Casablanca: direct ONCF trains from beneath the terminal to Casa Voyageurs (~45 min, ~40-50 Dhs), running roughly hourly.
  • To Rabat: change at Casa Voyageurs onto frequent Rabat trains (total ~1h45).
  • To Marrakesh: change at Casa Voyageurs for the Marrakesh line (total ~3h30-4h).
  • Buy tickets at the station machines or counter; the train runs from very early to around midnight.

Taxis and Transfers

  • Official airport taxis post fixed tariffs to the city (roughly 250-300 Dhs to central Casablanca, more at night) - agree before departing. This is the one time you do not negotiate a meter.
  • Pre-booked transfers: convenient for late arrivals or groups; your riad or hotel can arrange one.
  • Ride-hailing apps (inDrive, Heetch) may serve the airport but face restrictions - the train or official taxi is more reliable. See our taxi guide.

Tips

  • Have some dirhams before leaving arrivals - ATMs and exchange are in the terminal (our money guide).
  • If you land late, the train may have stopped - budget for a fixed-price taxi.
  • Heading straight to Marrakesh or Rabat? The train from the airport saves you a city transfer entirely.
